Have You?
Have you found the one
who invalidates your senses,
razes every of your verses,
styling entirety into a
new breed of Universe?
Not quite an indulgence,
more to a prisonlike cubicle
where the only food tastes
like colorless rat poison
Its calories warfarin
causing internal bleeding:
the thinning of your heart
But you are worse without
So you seek substitutions
Promising look-alikes
Comfort for one second
A week of deliverance
Until you wake one day
and recognize:
The scream in your dream
an anagram of his name
His face becomes everyone's
The dirt of his voice is
every sound, like the Sun
beaming rays of vitality
His image:
thick mint toothpaste
rinsing your eyes
You stand —
questioning your stance
Bidding your rewards
Like a mistuned compass
not knowing where to turn
but to return
to the one
you can't live without
